If you square the newton expressed in kilogram-meters per second per second, in what units will the answer be expressed?

If you divide a force measured in newtons (1 newton = 1 kg*m/s^2) by a speed expressed in meters per second, in what units will the answer be expressed?

deBroglie's famous equation indicates that λ = h/p, where h is measured in kg*m^2/s and p is momentum measured in kg*m/s. Given this, what is the SI unit for λ ?

  1. 1 N² = 1 m² kg² / s^4

    I never heard of a square newton. A newton is a measure of force, like a pound. What's a square pound? No, it's not a square slab of meat :-).

    1 kg m/s² / (m/s)

    = 1 kg m/s² * s/m

    = 1 kg/s

    λ = kg*m^2/s / kg*m/s

    = m

    = wavelength
