Home workers? I recently heard of some companies that instead of using overseas call centres?

were going to change over to employing people to "work from home" so the idea would be they would man the phones as they do in a call centre, only it would be in your own home, this sounds very interesting especially for people who are tied to the home for one reason or another, has anyone else heard of this, and do you have any more information on it. UK only.

  1. I have heard this before,can be done to home phone or computer phone.many companies offer virtual offices where u hire someone to answer phones and take messages

  3. BT use it for directory enquiries in the north of Scotland.

    Maybe even in other parts of the UK, for all I know.

    I rememebr seeing the pictures of a lady at home answering the enquiries. Sorry can't give you a reference it was in the 1990s
