  1. http://www.howtobrew.com/

You can order the current addition of  How To Brew by John Palmer or you can download and read the old edition for free. Learning what your doing is the first and one of the most important steps.

You can go to Midwest Supplies ( http://www.midwestsupplies.com/products/...

)or you can find a local supply shop ( http://byo.com/referenceguide/supplydire... ) for your equipment...I recommend spending a little extra and getting slightly more/better equipment.

Once you have all this you can figure out your recipe. Most supply shops will have ready made kits or you can design your own. Designing your own takes a lot more research however.

There are three things that are harder than anything else.

    1. Preparing yourself, you can't just be a kit and expect to make great beer. Education is key to making a better beer.

    2. Sanitize EVERYTHING that comes into contact with your beer. One dirty hose and a whole batch is ruined.

    3. Patience, It takes time to make beer. It isn't instant gratification.

It is a satisfying hobby, I enjoy it a lot. Tomorrow is brew day for me and I just bought a second carboy so I can brew more often.

  2. I went to www.youtube.com and looked into how to brew beer and found a lot of interesting ways of doing this. You might try this yourself....

  3. http://www.howtobrew.com is a great resource.  I've done 6 batches of beer now, and I always end up using that site.  It a free online book about brewing, and has all the information that I've ever needed up to this point.

http://www.beertribe.com has some interesting calculators to use for your Gravity etc.

http://www.homebrewtalk.com is a good forum for asking questions
