Homecoming with my best guy friend?

My best guy friend and I have always been friends and we talked about always remaining friends. But, he did ask me to homecoming, not really that big of a deal. Is normal that I feel kinda weird around him now?I just feel very flattered in a not normal way for our relationship. Is that bad? Will this change things?

no it's not bad at all!  going with a really good friend is the bessttt date.  it's someone you're totally comfortable with so you can dance crazy and you don't have to worry about him getting jealous if you dance with someone else, it's just all around a really good time.  it takes away the drama and leaves you with a really good time.  I went with my best guy friend to many dances and we always had a blast.
