If you dont have exact but have a genral idea how to make one tell me also. P.S. Right now I dont have the saddle It will be here in about 11 days so it wont help if you say measure around the out side of the saddle. If I have to wait to get it to do this I will though.

  1. Hmm.. I am no expert on saddle covers (I ride bareback), but I would say just get some plastic and rubber bands (big ones) and put it around the saddle, and boom! Dry and Sly!

  3. I can't help you with that but I answered to say that I have seen some nice nylon saddle covers in the tack shop, all-purpose covers and tailor cut covers to fit western, dressage, and cutback saddles from as low as $15 and ranging up to almost $30. The covers lined with imitation fleece are the ones ranging from about $24 to almost $30 and if you have cats hanging around the barn the fleece lined would probably be best to keep the saddle from being nail clawed. Considering the material you will purchase and the time you will spend making a cover, a pre-made cover averaging about $22, or there about, might be worth avoiding the hassle of making one. But a baby crib quilt would also make an excellent cover if you happen to have one you don't mind using for that purpose.
