Homemade baby gifts?

My friend's mom just had a baby girl named Cloe. I wanted to make the baby something like a blanket or something, but I don't know how to sew or anything. Any ideas on what I should make her?

You could make one of those no-sew fleece blankets.  All you would need to do it purchase 2 pieces of coordinating fleece (both at either 1 yard, or 1.5 - depending on how big you want it to be)

Then you simply cut around the edges in 1 inch chunks, and finally knot them together.
