Homemade board game!?!?!?!? please read!!?

i have to make a board game [the point of the board game is that the idea has to come from a book] so the book lets say "harry potter" i have to make a game out of that and blah sooo wats a good book that i could make a game out of???

ooh. i would suggest the "Leven Thumps" series. of course, you have to get proper permission before doing anything that's already licensed.

Good plan with monopoly.  For something like harry potter, ur chance cards would be charms, and community chest as spells.  Jail as azkaban, go as gringots, luxory tax might be book fees, railroads could be hogworts houses.  dont forget to make the money into coins, and the pieces have to be our favorite little witches and wizards!  lol, ok...im getting a little too carried away.  

or mabye some kind of chess game out of quidditch?

chutes and ladders style with huck finn?  

candyland from a short book with a few places?

as for books, just pick somethin that you know.  eragon, lord of the rings, alice and wonderland...heck, most disney movies come from books.  wiki ur favorite disney movie and use that as ur book.  

or, here's a 'novel' concept - read a random book from ur local library!
