Homemade chicken feeders?

Anyone have any good ideas on a homemade chicken feeder or waterer?

I have found a lot of great info on Motherearthnews.com but th website takes forever to load - not sure why. I was trying to find you the exact link but was too impatient. i think if you search on the internet you will come across it. basically it was a 5 gallon bucket with the bottom cut out, a piece of wood used to anchor a bolt, and then a metal garbage can lid or plant tray was attached. Sorry if you can't get the picture i am describing. Good luck!
