  1. Cotton is probably the safest thing. Just make sure it is too big to be lodged in your ear permanently.

  2. Well, you don't have silly putty?  Well i would think the next best thing that could potentially cause irreparable damage your ears while providing little benefit would be playdough.  I even have a homemade recipe around here somewhere.

Seriously.  Anything like this will cause more problems than it solves.  You will encourage grown in your ears keeping something like silly putty in there, but worst of all, how are you going to get it back out?  silly putty doesn't exactly stay together very well, it's sort of like taffy when you pull on it.

If you're worried about the environment (since this is the category you posted on) get some reusable plastic ones and wash them up every day or so.  It's seriously less than a dollar to buy some, surely your time is worth more than that.

  3. just use cotton to close Ur ears

  4. You can pick up a pair of foam ear plugs in the sporting goods section of any store that has one for less than $2, but if you must make your own, I recall in the Diary of Anne Frank, she made some from cotton and wax.  Seems to make sense to me.

Stay away from silly putty.  It won't be comfortable for long due to the way the moisture (sweat) in your ears won't absorb into it.

  5. Fingers are natural earplugs !

  6. Have you tried plain old cotton balls or pieces of tissue?
