Does anyone know of a really good homemade face mask that you don't have to go out to the store & buy? Any recommendations from people who already use homemade face masks...thanks!

ps: Is steaming a good thing to do to help clean and soften your skin?

pps: can you have directions on how to make it? thanks!

  1. yogurt and tea mixed together is really good. just mix it put it on your face and if you want put a hot towel on your face. when its completely dry wash it off

  2. Sometimes you can take a bit of already squeezed lemon and cut it into fourths and apply that to your face . .works great to get rid of surface dirt and all. Wash it off after 10 minutes.

Other times, I just use the top portion of whole yogurt and put that on . .just enough to cover the whole face. Leave it on for like 10 minutes

Cucumbers are good for your eyes.

  3. i hvent tried it  but this might help.i;m going to look into it myself.    skinactives.com

  4. me and my friend once got some bananas and mashed them up in a bowl and put them on our faces and they left our skin surprisingly smooth !

  5. Hi Claire,

I love home remedy stuff and my favorite homemade mask works great. I take plain dry oatmeal, orange zest (orange peelings) and grind them up in a food processor, I add a little bit of kosher salt, then use that as a scrub. (Scrub over the sink with a garbage disposal.)

For a great hydrating mask, combine mango, avocado and plain yogurt. Blend together to make creamy and put the stuff on your face. You can leave it on for about 10-15 minutes. It works great!!

Another good one, it fresh strawberries and carrots in a food processor with some honey. It tones your skin so nicely and leaves a great glow!

    Have fun!
