Question:

Homemade frapp/blended coffee drinks?

Hi, I'm addicted to these things and I was wondering if anyone had any good homemade recipes? All I have to work with is a blender and I don't really care how it looks as long as the taste is there.

If possible I would like to use fat free milk but I'm not sure if that would diminish the taste or texture too much. Thanks for any help!

  1. Low-fat Blended Chocolate Coffee

    Ingredients:

Bag of strong coffee {expresso roast works best..you don't need an expresso maker and the strength is just about right.

    Skim milk

    Low-fat Hershey's chocolate syrup

    Fat free whipped cream

    Sugar

    Ice.

Brew about 6 cups of coffee. Use aprox 1 tablespoon MORE of the coffee than what you normally use. Allow to cool, and put in a covered plastic container {like an iced tea jug}. Chill in fridge overnight. This will be enough to make 1 a day for a week.

In a blender, combine 3/4 cup of coffee, 1 cup skim milk, 2-3 teaspoons of sugar, 3-4 squirts of the low-fat chocolate syrup, and 6 ice cubes. Use the "mix" option on the blender until the ice is ALMOST completely chopped. Pour into a TALL glass. Add fat-free whipped cream. Stick a straw in it and enjoy!!!
