Homemade musical instrument?

this is for a physics project in 8th grade science thats due tomorrow but i might stay home because i made these chimes that dont work at all, really. it has to be able to change tune pitch, etc and i have to play a song so it cant be just like a maraca or something. i also need easy ideas because i cnat work with wood or metal easily.

My brother filled wine bottles with different amounts of water. Then you can hit them or blow in them to make different pitches. He did this the day before it was due and got an 85.
