Does this really work? My mum (aged 54) suffers from IBS and it really affects her life. She won't go to certain places if theres no toilet or if at a wedding for example she will sit at the back nearest the door. I really want to help her and I am going to arrange for her to see a homeopath. Has anyone had experience of this?

  1. Organic diet and intestinal formula #1 from American Botanical Pharmacy. Ask the homeopath their opinion of this first.

  2. if it is due to prolapsed uterine then my mom also suffering frm this  i have kept her on homeopathic medince since last one month and she is feelin better

  3. Get some Peppermint Plus (from Enzymatic Therapy) and take it as directed. It is recommended by most natural practitioners and has worked well for many of the people I have told to try it.  A good probiotic may also be helpful.

  4. One thing which can relieve many symptoms is peppermint tea.

But the best thing your mother could do is a raw food diet.  Several treatment facilities place patients on a diet of just raw fruits and vegetables, fresh juices, and filtered water.  Most show remarkable improvement in just days.

  5. A good program that addresses the "root cause" of her IBS is needed.  Doctors are very bad at any degenerative disease because all they have is drugs and surgery.  Once you remove something, you won't get it back.  Once you start on drugs, you are only treating the symptoms and not the root cause, so you will be on the drugs for years and sometimes, never get off of them.  Does either of those options sound good to you?  Probably not.

Your best bet is to find out what is causing the IBS.  Typically it is just bad nutrition and bad digestion.  A lot of the time it is caused by parasites or a combination of all the above.

A good QRA Nutritionist can get to the root cause and then you will know what to do to be rid of it.  At age 54, it sounds like hypchloridia is one possible root cause, but the parasite issue is also very possible.  What happens, typically, is that low stomach acid causes the food in the stomach to stay there are rot.  While it is putrefying, lactic acid builds up and also methane gas that gives a bloated feeling.  Because there is not ENOUGH stomach acid, the pyloric sphincter will not open, so some of the chyme seeps into the small intestine where the acidic level is not low enough to trigger the bicarbonate to be released from the pancreas.  This leaves an acidic chyme, rotting and putrefying, throwing off lots of toxins into the intestines.  These toxins, mixed with the slightly low pH, causes irritations that create the IBS.  Typically, the person also takes lots of antibiotics along the way and antacids.  All this garbage causes the IBS to get worse, not better.

This cascade of events can be stopped dead in it's tracks with a good diet and a few supplements.  Once the infections in the intestines are there, they have to be addressed as well.

    good luck to you

  6. I had a touch of IBS a while back and what worked for me was totally quitting all sugars and simple carbs

    It totally 100% went away.

I know exactly how your mom feels-- I couldn't relax unless I spotted the toilet location and was fearful of car rides and especially the idea of getting caught in traffic.

Think about how much sugar she eats, including sweeteners, corn syrups, white bread, white rice, chips. etc.

    Good luck

  7. my mom's friend tried a special juice for her IBS. it worked really good.  It also donates a portion of ref. sales to her church too. heres the link below that we got it from.  Go half way down where it says "try risk free"  this seemed to help with her headaches too.
