Homeroom in High School?

I'm currently moving from the 9th to the 10th grade next year and I was wondering if typically we move up with the same homeroom? You know a homeroom where we meet a couple of times a year and such. Do we stay we the same one each year till graduation or do we change each year?

In my school we had the same one for all 4 years of high school. I was in NY state, idk about you.

It completely depends on the high school.  For example, in my high school the students were assigned homerooms alphabetically by last name.  Because of that, most of us were in the same homeroom because our last names were located near each other in the alphabet.
