    My own mother was in a home for unwed mothers. Some of them were very strict places and the 'mothers' were encouraged to adopt and looked down on.

  5. They were all over the place, run by a number of different organizations, including but not limited to Catholic Charities,and Gladney.

  6. What about them?  My mother stayed in one.  I'm pretty sure it was not a pleasant experience for her.
