My mom will go for the idea this I know forsure I asked her today and she said she would stop by my school to get the info, papers, and such she always hears me out and lets me choose things on my own and she always has my best interest in mind

  1. That sounds like a smart idea--can't you do it online too? isn't that easier if you want to be home schooled.?

  2. Don't get me wrong homeschooling can be a very encouraging experience, but it depends. I did homestudy for four-six years and it was very difficult because of my lack of self-motivation and ability to work without any pressure or goal.

If you have a strong will for learning and understanding on your own, homeschooling can be very rewarding indeed. It has it's own pros and cons too, but I have learned that when I went to a educational enviorment with other kids and teachers it taught me alot of different things to work on with myself.

I just want to say though the other school that you would go to or your saying you would homeschool until then, it may be a good idea. It would allow your schedule for alot more flexibility, especially with settling in into another enviroment.

    Good luck hon ;)

  3. so wuts the question?

  4. Home schooling simply isn't the same as regular schooling.  You'll have a MUCH better experience attending a regular school!

  5. How certain is it that you will be moving? And how soon?

Homeschooling can be great. If you are planning on attending school after having homeschooled in high school, there can be problems. The school doesn't have to recognize your work.

Btw, the school usually doesn' t have ANYTHING to do with homeschooling. They'll probably tell your mom it's a bad idea. Also, homeschooling that short term will be hard--you need to figure out resources, a plan, how much to accomplish. Honestly, as much as I believe in homeschooling, I really wouldn't encourage it in this case. It's not as simple as, "Okay, I'm going to homeschool today."

If you're moving that soon, then you don't have much time in your school and will soon be out.
