Okay so please don't answer this is you have no meaning to your answer;

I am moving to the town next to me tomorow, and I need to know should I go with homeschooling, because if I do that I will have time to pursue my dream (acting/modeling) but I won't if I go to regular school. So I just want your opinion, I mean I want to make new friends, but I pretty much know EVERYONE where I just moved. So its not like I wouldn't be comunicating, :] haha which I love to do so yeah.

Only honest opinions,

And if you didn't notice im sorta swinging towards homeschooling.

Thanks so much guys !!!! :D

  1. well if you still wanna hang out and talk to people see if you can join a sport where you would go to public school and be homeschooled so you can do what you want

  2. Home schooling is fine and dandy, as long as like in public schools, the teacher doesn't have s*x with you!

  3. It really depends on the homeschooling program you're looking at. If you're serious about developing a career in the performing arts, remember it's not all about what happens in front of the camera.  Many homeschooling programs offer extracurricular activities with other homeschoolers so that it's not so insular, both educational outings and social events.  Some even schedule their own proms so you don't miss out on special times.  I homeschool my kids because we live so far out in the woods, but I think I'd do it anyway.  I really enjoy the time we spend together, and it won't be long before they're involved in their own lives, so as a mom, it's pretty special for me.  We get to be so creative in the way we approach learning, so it's not boring for the kids or me.  Just make sure your parent(s) have the time to be actively involved in your education, and that you have the self-discipline to get your assignments done without a teacher breathing down your neck, lol.  Good luck in your career and your educational choices.

  4. This answer has much meaning to it;

    Thanks for the two points.

  5. going to school teaches us how to communicate with one another so its best to go to reguar school.

  6. well i think  for ur case it be better homeschool, i mean u can make friends in a job or thre club or somewhere else..but if u only are aiming to ur career it be best to get homeschool

  7. i was homeschooled and i thought that the educational freedom was great!

what i didn't like was that i only knew other homeschoolers and i was shy so it was hard to make new friends but

if you are outgoing this might not be a problem for you

you just have to know that if you are homeschooled you are going to have to learn how to make yourself be productive and you have to actively seek out or maintain your social life

the only way to know if it is for you is to try it. it really won't hurt to do it for a year and go back to public school if you don't like it.

  8. The chances of you becoming a success model/actress is slim to none. Especially if you are not in the LA area. Every kid I know that was homeschooled turned out to be a freak and emotionally unstable or a religious nut. If you are destined to become an actress slash model it will happen if you keep working at it. JUST DO NOT QUIT ON YOUR EDUCATION. Education needs to be first.

  9. I've been homeschooled and to be honest homeschooling really does rock! lol But the bad thing about it is, it felt odd when I went to any high school basketball games or any other kind of event. I felt like because I wasn't going to school it was just irrelevant for me. I soon got over it though. Be careful with homeschooling though too because you don't want to fall off track, make sure you're on your toes just like the kids at school!

  10. i would chose homeskooling

since u don't know any one where u jut move u will never know if they will pick on u!

and u will get to pursue ur dream like u said

  11. Homeschooling

I'm 13 and I'm homeschooled, public schools often turn kids quite rotten and while I was at school, I think I was turning a bit rotten, but now, I talk to grown ups really well, It's really made me less shy and I've learned a lot more from it.

  12. homeschooling. it seems to fit your situation best.  and just so you know, there are many different kinds of homeschoolers. there are your stereotypical homeschoolers, who are super shy and don't talk to any one, but they are not all like that at all. obviously, you would not one of them, and you know a lot of people. don't buy into the homeschooling is bad for your social skills, its only that way if you choose it to be.

  13. You already know the answer!  Homeschool!  You will have so much more time to pursue your dreams, not to mention your social life will be way better.  You will have more time to hang with friends and chat online.  Joining a homeschool group will help you make new connections, too.

Good luck with your acting!  Go for it!

  14. PUBLIC!!!!!!!!!!!!! What are you dumb

  15. I'm going to be out there and say it depends. You are, I can tell, very different from me. I would lean towards homeschooling, but you have to think about a couple things.

    1. What is your parent's education? Do they know enough to teach you? Will you be able to get a /real/ job?

I don't mean to offend you by saying "real job", but acting/modeling is very difficult. Chances are, you won't get it. That leads me to my next point.

    2. How good are you? Do you have an agent? Is there something special about you? If not, you're wasting your time. Again, I hope I don't sound mean, but I'm not going to lie to you.

    3. Is homeschooling right for you? I'm a very anti-social person. I have no friends my age and I'd rather have a good book than hang out with my peers. I'd be quite content if you gave me a blank notebook and a pen and told me to entertain myself for 3 hours. If I were to homeschool, I wouldn't miss out on the social aspects of mainstream school because I avoid the social aspects of mainstream school. If you have lots of friends at school, and you like the company of those outside your family, then I'd say you ought to stay in mainstream school. If you won't be missing much by staying at home all day, then you may be able to homeschool.

With those points in mind, I hope you make the right desicion for you. I wish you the best of luck in whatever you choose.

  16. Homeschooling isn't for everyone.  Some students function better in a classroom setting with other students, and some feel less intimidated and able to relax more in a homeschool setting.  Also, not everyone is a good homeschool teacher.  The parent who decides to homeschool is taking on a lengthy and dedicated position, and must be qualified to teach.  A good education is very important, even for an actor or model.  So your first priority should be on your schooling, whether it's at home or in a classroom.

  17. home school! u don't need all those distractions and stress from public school. trust me! i'm 13 and i want to be an actress. and i mean it. i wis i could be home schooled! trust me it would help u alot! good luck <3

  18. I was home schooled up through the 7th grade.  what i found out is that after a while there is no reason for you to do the work.  Since you can't turn stuff in late, you end up putting stuff off for a long time.  I am actually a grade behind now because of this (it is the best thing that ever happened to me).  You just have to have really strong willpower.  Also, I would only suggest it if you are really good at acting/modeling.  that means if you have never been in a semi-large production, you probably don't want to switch to homeschooling, which is less respected by colleges.  I guess you should be really confident in your abilities before you make a decision that big.  It will affect your life forever, either way.   I hope you do well in whatever you choose and all your dreams come true.

  19. well personally i like homeschool but why are u asking Y! answers it up 2 u!! not us!!

  20. honestly, if i were i would be home schooled. because pursuing my dream means a lot to me, and however i struggle now with any of the current events, in the future i will look back with pride and remind my self i wasn't wrong that i made the right decision when i chose to be home schooled.  what else would u gain from public school besides friends, and friends once u get chance talk to the neighbors.  i am sure once u become super model, u will have tremandous amout of friends.

  21. regular school improves your social skills but restricts expessiveness and individuality. i would agree that homeschooling is probably best if you want to act.

    i don't know anything about modeling :P

  22. public. other wise they will have no social skills and that is just as important

  23. homeschooling might mean more time to do acting stuff but it will really suck for your social life

public school means friends, inside jokes, boyfriends, and you could still do acting and modeling classes during the weekends and after school

  24. Well,

    there are perks to both.

    In a home schooled environment,

there is more one-on-one work, and individual attention, so you're less likely to fall behind or get mixed up.

but, it will also get a bit lonely.

    in a public school,

you get a whiff of the real world.

    drama, social life, friends, excitement...

    and you still learn.

    so,

you have to weigh out your pros and cons...

  25. Don't be homeschooled....

    I hate it....

And good luck witht those people you know....When your homeschooled, they really won't care anymore....

And good luck in acting, I'm an actor....So if you ever need any advice on the business....

    Email me....

    =)

  26. homeschool if u like  acting or modeling u have more free time...

  27. public... you will make friends, have fun and stuff. (you might want to bring your lunch though)
