  1. They are probably legally required to invite you/inform you that you have options available.  The school system is ultimately responsible for your education until you meet the drop out requirements.   They are doing their job.  

    If it sounds like something you might be interested in, attend.

    If you have questions, call them.


  2. It sounds as if they want to pull you into a public school program.

    Watch out for tricks.   If you are dedicated to home schooling, you should stay away  from  government programs.

  3. They have to offer their "special ed" services to all kids in the district, even homeschoolers, by federal law. They are offering you the opportunity to enroll your "special needs" child in services like title 1 reading, math, speech therapy, etc.

    I would toss it.  I would not want my child in the public school system for anything.  And I would NEVER want the system to label my child as special ed.  It opens up a whole can of worms.

  4. It sounds like a public notice. It was probably sent to everyone in the district. On the other hand they may be trying to convince you to enroll your kids in public school. Feel free to ignore it.
