  1. Why do you want to drop out? Is it getting up every morning? Facing other people in school?

    Easy way out?

I am a public health nurse and I help Teen students get back to track. I have seen students do homeschooling and its not the same. Half of them drop out of even homeschooling and end up on low paying jobs.

These years will not come back to you. Enjoy and make memories in school.

  2. Before you drop out, make sure that you know how to say, "Do you want fries with that?'  in at least four different languages, because that is what you will be doing for the rest of your life.

  3. You can drop out of school/homeschool in KY at 16 IF your parents give written permission for you to do so. Are they likely to do so?

  4. Dont drop out.

You'll never retire and you'll get a low pay job.

  5. I live in TN and you have to be 17 to drop out.

But my advice, (not that you asked for it) Is to stay in school.

Do you seriously want to be working for minimum wage your whole life... atleast get your GED ... dont just drop out.

  6. LOL  Do as you feel but know where your headed thats the only way to know you haven't failed but most likely your just gonna drop out and do nothing so if you know that ahead of time you can be the best drop out ever!

  7. Do not drop out. My best advice to you is to stay in school until you are thirty years old.

If you quit schooling, you will have cause to regret it, bitterly.

  8. Don't drop out. If you have no education, you will never have a chance at a good job or life. I had very hard times in school, but quitting is not an option, not everything is easy. Stick it out, build up your character, no one likes a quitter.

  9. bad enough you were home-schooled.  don't make it worse by dropping out.

  10. You have to check your state laws to see when you're allowed to legally drop out of school in your state.

I was a drop out, unofficially at 14, officially at 16... I ended up going for my GED a few years later and eventually getting a college degree and becoming a teacher...

So from someone who has been there, I leave you with this warning: everyone I ever  knew who dropped out, including me, regretted it by the time they were 20... and almost none of them ever really make anything out of their lives because they could not get very good jobs, except those who went back to school (but it was harder to go back).

Don't take this decision lightly. "I just don't like getting an education" is not a good enough reason to ruin your life.
