Homeschooled boredness?!?

I'm 15 years old and im homeschooled because i refused to start a new school in the middle of the year. I understand there's much to do IF YOU CAN DRIVE. But i can't drive and there's no one home during the day. I want to volunteer but once again, can't drive. Any other homeschooled kids who get sooo bored? What do you do to stay occupied during the day? First good answer wins!

p.s. i live in orlando

  1. Do you have a bike?  Can you use public transit?  If so, you have zero excuse for not getting out there and staying busy.

Get a copy of this book:  http://lowryhousepublishers.com/TeenageL...

  2. This is your chance to learn about anything and everything you have ever wanted to know more about. Just take out a bunch of random books at the library, from various areas in the non-fiction section and start looking through them if you really have no idea what you'd like to learn more about.

Other than that, there are hobbies galore (painting, drawing, sculpting, playing a musical instrument, dancing to music, sewing, knitting, crocheting, x-stitch, jewelry making) and even things like cooking, baking, cleaning, organizing, taking out books on interior decorating and at least mentally redecorate your room or reorganize a space in your house, write, read, exercise, take up chess, plan a career, start a business... There's TONS to do at home. Even though I went to public school, during vacations, I pretty much spent most of my time at home, alone (am an only child). I was never bored. There's so much to do, you could never do it all.

  3. i love to plant flowers and tomatos... (you can donate them to a homeless shelter) or you could do day babysitting... when do you get schooled?

  4. You should do some research on the internet - there are a lot of groups that cater to homeschool students.
