  1. Is it possible in Michigan?

Yes.  There aren't a lot of requirements.  You can homeschool pretty much however you want.  You can check out www.hslda.org for more info on your state.

Your parents and your friend's parents would both have to agree to this, but just your parents or just his/her parents could homeschool both of you.

    How do you start?

Your parents have to tell the school that you're leaving (they don't have to say why), but they probably have to go to the school and formally cancel your enrollment.  There are tons of different ways to homeschool (with books, with video programs, online, etc) but it would help to get in touch with a local homeschool group (or post specific questions on here) to find out exactly where to begin.

    How do you get worksheets?

You might be able to rent the textbooks you're using right now and use them for the rest of this year, but it's up to the school if they want to let you do that.  Otherwise, you buy textbooks, worksheets, and teacher's guides from book companies.  OR, if you want to do totally free homeschooling, you get books out of the library and your parents make worksheets for you based on what's in the books.  So usually, homeschooling costs money, but if you do it just using the library, it can be free.

And you don't turn in your worksheets anywhere except to your parents...they are your teachers.  In Michigan, you don't have to submit any work to the state or anywhere else.  Your parents give you grades and keep track of what you're doing.  You just have to keep enough records and learn enough that you can get into college :-)

    Hope this helped!

  2. homeschooling normally refers to a parent teaching there son and or daughter the necesities of a school circulum. My neighbors get homeschooled, and they still have the same ciriculem as me.

It costs money for the text books needed, and probably cost money to get worksheets online.
