  1. I'm a homeschooler. You're lucky that you live in CA; it's very liberal towards homeschooling. You can even register your home as a private school and print up your own diploma if you wish. Good luck!

  2. you might try you're local adult education center...but you'll need you're parents to sign off on it

  3. I was home schooled, well it was independant study. The school was called Options for youth, I'm not sure which part of Cali you are from, but OFY has many locations, so check them out. You'll go to class once a week. You have a minimum requirement that you have to fulfill before each weekly meeting. You'll take tests on the work you did. You must pass with a 70% They also have weekends if you need extra tutoring. They are very flexible on timing, you can go really early.

They have many locations in the following places: Burbank, San Gabriel, San Juan, Victor Valley, and Upland. It's a year round school, you can take your time. Check it out. I was there for a year.

One bad thing, is that since you are at home, you might have  tendancy to get lazy. I would make sure you get excersize because I gained about 10 pounds over the course of a year. Your going to need discipline when it comes to home schooling, because it's easy to get off track.

    The website for OFY is

    www.ofy.org

  4. I think that is called homebound, not homeschooling.  Homeschooling is where your parents choose how and what to teach you, and they are responsible for your lessons.

Online or textbook programs will allow you to work independently.  Here are some options:

You also need to find out the laws for your state.  You can view a summary at http://www.hslda.org

    Good luck!

  5. Here is the California Homeschool Network website, as well as Diane Flynn Keith's website with links to California information.

Now that you are sixteen, you can look into enrolling in community college courses as well as learning at home or with a tutor.  I also suggest you read a book entitled, The Teenage Liberation Handbook.  I have provided a link to that book through Amazon for you.  Best of luck and have fun!

  6. Read Grace Llewelyn's book "The Teenage Liberation Handbook".  Many options in there.

Best of luck to you :D
