Homeschooling..? Oppinions would really help..?

I'm thinking about getting homeschooled and I was wondering if you guys could give me ur oppinion on it and tell me some things to think about on helping me make my descision..:]

Some thoughts ...

Who will help you when you don't understand something?

How will it affect what you want to do after high school?

Will you miss being with other kids your age?

What curriculum will you use?

What do your parents think about it?

Do you know anyone else who is homeschooled?

Can you focus and concentrate on academics without the pressure of homework and assignments due?

Are you a good independent worker?

Do you like to work alone?

Well, what would your reasons FOR it be? I guess there are positives and negatives, but I'd say go to school where you can interact with other people and make friends. These experiences are almost as important a part of maturying as a person as getting a good education.

I've been home schooled for 2 years now this would be my 3rd and it's great!I'm never stressed i can pay better attention not get distracted stay up latter get up latter etc....

And it's easy too once you get the hang of it i'm in 8th grade and i do most of the work by myself and manage to get good grades if you just work at your own pace and keep up with the curriculum it won't be hard at all and there are always teachers there to help you that you can email online if you need help with a certain subject.

One of the best things about it is that you don't have to worry about bad associtation comparing yourself to others trying to fit in or anything like that.

But it does have have some downs to it for instance i used to be really out going but now i'm really shy i kinda isolate myself but when you balance the two out popularity or happiness and your own well being i perfer the later.

well as long as you have a lot of friends and you go out a lot you should do otherwise your social skills will get really bad! i use switched on schoolhouse, its really nice and simple

I have been homeschooled my whole life. There are good things and bad things about it. It's nice to be able to work at your own pace, and I feel like I learn more being homeschooled,+you're not around so many bad influences,but the thing I don't like about it is I don't really have any friends that I can hang out with,and the big thing is for me is you don't get to do sports.

i can talk for the rest, but my wife, does our 2 kids on home schooling, their the good an the bad, ..but the good , out weighting the bad, like, you dont got to get up before day light, an get them off to school, you dont got to drop every thing you doing, when the school, call, for one is sick, , also the good part of it, they  i belive are learnning more at home, for they go at it at their pace,,, too,.... you dont beed to worried about them, , at school are rideing the bus,,, , but the down side,  they dont get to see their friends as much,

I think homeschooling is not good,because when you are in school you become more social. But also homeschooling has advantages too; you are alone and the teacher's time is all yours, you can ask questions as much as you like, you can do whatever you want (no detention, lol). But if you want to have friends and good place to have fun, i would choose school...
