Homeschooling Tutors?

I really would like to be homeschooled because I feel I can learn quicker and more then I can at school, plus my school isn't the nicest place. The only problem is that my parents wouldn't be able to teach me so I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get a tutor instead? I live in NSW, Australia. Also, anyone who has been to a public school then done homeschooling which do you feel is better? Thanks for anyones help it's really appreciated.

  1. Have you looked into homeschooling curriculum? A lot of it is self-directed so that there's no need for a tutor or teacher.

  2. Home tutors'd be expensive (prolly thousands of dollars if you're looking to cover the whole nsw curriculum!). Home tutoring would prolly put bigger demands on your parents than traditional home-education.

You don't say whereabouts in nsw you are but you might try checking out/contacting the following:

They're all nsw public schools that have distance education programmes meaning the school will provide you with all the resources, materials, access to teachers etc that you need to get your HSC...but, if you enrolled in one of their distance ed programmes, you would still get to do all your schoolwork at home. Well, you can do it anywhere you want to, what I mean is you would no longer have to actually go to school as you're doing at the moment.

Btw I'm 15, live in Central Australia and have been home-educated all my life, well except for five weeks. I went to a private prep school in Melbourne for five weeks when I was aged 7 but it was so boring, I got up in front of the class after three days and told the school principal that she and her school were wasting my time, lol!

  3. i am looking for 5 students in class 5-12 ,whom i can impart tuition free of any obligations, 3 hours per week , in between 50-60% ,by the help of email,  to achieve 85% and above in 3 months time ,u can withdraw anytime you feel u r wasting ur time , but i am comitted ........ .
