Homeschooling and working?

Question

My spam box is filled to the brim with offers to do medical transcriptions, but are there any REAL jobs that I can do from home? I'm wanting to homeschool, but really do need an additional income, as well.

I work and homeschool, it is possible but you need help from your husband and probably one other adult.  In my case, my mother and mother in law alternate one day a week caring for my kids and my husband takes another day.  I work in a demanding, male dominated field and yet it is still possible - I had to look for about 2 months to find what I needed, but I make excellent money and enjoy my time at work. My children enjoy and learn from others during this time and it works out wonderfully.

I cannot tell you specifically what is available - you need to know your own skill set and go from there.  Good luck

You have to decide first if you are looking for a work at home job, or a home-based business.

I work as an insurance inspector and home school. My job is to go and inspect commercial properties for the insurance company and write a report from home. I leave the house once a week to get the reports then spend maybe 20 hours putting in the reports. My pay check isn't a lot but it definitely helps my family out!

That Westathome is pretty vague.  What is it?  What does it do?  Or are you not allowed to give out that info.  I went into the website as I'm sure you did and didn't learn a darn thing!  Jazzy pls tell us what your friend does for this company and what it is all about.  Or is one of those -  'well, I can tell you but I'll have to shoot you'  - type deals.
