Homeschooling for Sophomore year?

i live in Wisconsin, and i really need to know how to start Homeschooling? It's summer right now, so can I just not go back to school and start Homeschooling online?

Do you have to send something to your school telling them you are doing homeschooling online? or what? i'm really confused on what you're supposed to do.

Do you know any good websites that would be good for a 15 year old, soon-to-become sophomore that has to start Homeschooling?

Oooh and btw, the online schools can't be too costly, probably around the amount it is to go to regular public school, if not just give me a website that has great online schooling that offers all of the requirements for someone who is getting Homeschooled in Wisconsin.

Thank you everybody who answers this. And please don't leave out the part on how to start Homeschooling at the beginning of this school year, like what kind of letter do you need to send to somebody to be approved for homeschooling.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!!

  2. If you do a *public* online school, then you'll just transfer your enrollment and records from your previous school to the new school.  If you are going to do a *private* online school, then you'll have to do a little bit more to transfer.  With either option, your parents will have to fill out enrollment papers and pay the fee (typical PS fee for public) or tuition down-payment (private).

If you do a private online school, then you'll have to follow the homeschooling laws in WI.  If you do the public option, then you just transfer, since it's a public school.

There is a great option in WI for high school, Honors High Online of Wisconsin:

Here's a good place to get the HS'ing laws (only if you choose an online private school or offline homeschool curriculum):

    http://www.nhen.org/leginfo/detail.asp?S...

You can read the details there, so I won't paste them here.

An online public school will have the typical school fees.  In my state it's $97/year.  The school supplies all the materials, a computer & AIO printer, and Internet access reimbursement.

I recommend you and your parents attend a virtual, or IRL information session.  Here's the page with links to events for H2O:

    HTH!  Have fun!
