  1. You need to know the laws for homeschooling in your state.  Go to www.hslda.org and find your state.

I live in SC.  I'm also 18 turning 19 and don't have to follow my state laws for homeschooling.  In my state you need to be 17 and lower to follow the state laws for homeschooling.

Also, I use a private online school called Penn Foster High School.  They mail me my books and I also have access to my books online.  This is great because if I need to go out I can take my books with me.  Also, I stated that I use a private online school, so It's $985.00 for all four years of high school, but if you have already earned credits you can transfer them and your tuition will be less.

  2. Here's some general info to help you get started:

You need to find out your state’s laws.

    Some good curriculum providers are:

    http://www.abeka.com

    http://www.bjupress.com

    http://www.aop.com

    http://www.aceministries.com

    http://www.rodandstaffbooks.com

    These are some online programs:

    Good luck!

  3. Depends on where you live.  Florida, Texas and Colorado provide free on-line for residentns.

There is also the K12.com program

The rest is up to local laws and regualtions.  Some areas let you get away with $100 in books, other programs can cost thousands.

  4. do cyber school its free and online

  5. Start by going to HSLDA.org for the homeschooling laws in your state. There are a lot of different options available as far as the curriculum goes. The internet is a great resource to find the best fit for you. I hope all goes well.

  6. Start with looking up the laws online. Make sure you understand what you are getting into.

If you are doing actual homeschooling, it means your parents are legally in charge of the program. You get whatever books you want to meet whatever criteria they place on you for your education--which can include, for some homeschooled students, the students planning their own program and finding their own resources.

There isn't just a set of books that you purchase. You/your parents have to look around, find things you want at prices you can afford. It's not like you can just go to a store and say, "I want the sophomore texts, please."

If you do it online, it's no longer called homeschooling. You will most likely be registered with a public or charter school and will legally be considered a public or charter school student. There are some that are private schools--I still am not sure how that works in terms of falling under homeschooling laws with that. Do a search for yourstate virtual school and see what comes up, and check http://www.k12.com and http://www.connectionsacademy.com . I don't know if online schools like that accept people mid-year, though, if you are looking to start doing your schooling at home soon.

  7. im doing it online on florida virtual school (flvs.net) i think doing it online is better. see if your state has a free cyber school
