Hi. Can anyone help me?I live in Ireland and i'm thinking of homeschooling my 14yr old son. He's just finished 2nd yr, so his junior cert will be coming up next yr.Has anyone home schooled their teenager.Any advice would be great.I know about registering with the NEWB,but what about school books and sitting exams.I'm worried because its his junior cert yr next year, but i'm seriously considering home schoolong as an option.

  2. There's some information if you follow this link on how to register your child for exams, it's about half way down, it suggests speaking to your local VEC but children can also be registered to take their exams at the nearest school:

The following groups may be of help:

Tbhis is an organisation which can offer neutral advice for home educators in Southern Ireland..Many of us are members.

If you are in N.I  http://www.hedni.org/  will be able to help you.
