Homeschooling letter of intent?

Question

I live in Louisiana, and we sent the letter of intent to homeschool under the private school option on the seventh of august, which was one day before public schools started again

Anyways, will we be getting a letter back from them saying that they got it and if so, when should we get it?

I doubt you will get a letter back. If you didn't send it certified, I would call and confirm that they received it.

It usually takes about 2 weeks to get it back. It may take a bit longer because it is a busy time of year.

Probably not, at least here in Florida you can't count on getting a reply. For this reason, most new homeschoolers are advised to send a certified letter of intent so they get a notice in the mail to let them know the recipient got the letter.
