Homeschooling parents and teachers please read?

i keep doing this in differnt categorys. i dont get good answers though. please help. what do you have your students and kids do with index cards. if you dont have them use index cards can you give me ideas anyways please.this is my question

i keep askign this but im not getting a good answer.

what do i do with index cards.....7th grade subjects. i know about flashcards and research. but what else. i have american government,spanish,health,life science,plant science, algebra, pre calculus, english, creative composition, knitting, crocheting, pottery, american history, judaism, reading, ancient civilization, and cooking. these are my courses in my homeschooling online school i attend.

please tell me maybe a little bit to do with each.

i really want stuff other then flashcards and blah blah blah.

i hope people can help.

In history, for instance,  I would put a major event on each card.  Then shuffle the cards and put them in correct order.  This is especially effective when studying wars.

I answered this question in another one, but thought of something else I do with my students. We are comparing/contrasting different cultures in World History. I use one color of card for each culture. Most recently was Aztec, Mayan, and Inca empires. We did time lines of each civilization. Also, you could make a chart for different areas like religion, housing, food, etc. and then have the names of the 3 civilizations at the top. You put the correct colored card beneath the right civilization for their religious practices, housing, food, etc. going down the left hand side. This would give you quick visual reference to review the information. Good luck, learn lots, and have fun, Rail

We homeschool and don't use curriculum or flash cards.  Why do you think you need or want them?

We do not use flash cards, or index card for anything.

If you had to use them for something I guess you could use them for bookmarks.

Don't stress yourself out over this though.  If you have an abundance of index cards that you don't need or have an opportunity to use, perhaps you could donate them to a local school.
