  1. connections academy is a FREE online public school you actually have teachers and your schoolwork for the day is on a planner for you and you can send emails to classmates and go on fieldtrips! seriously check this out! did i mention its free? and you seriously do learn more there your right!

  2. Look into OHVA:

  3. There are a couple of online public schools.  The largest is ECOT (Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow).  Others are TRECA (located in Marion) and VCS (located in Reynoldsburg).   There are also some smaller country operated schools - call your local ESC to see if they know of any.  All of these are free.   There are some that charge, but you should be able to find a free one.

  4. www.k12 .com is free check and see if its in your area

  5. Here are the homeschooling laws for your state:

Basically, as a homeschooler, your coursework and schedule is set by your parents.  You can choose the programs you want to use and any outside activities you want to participate in.

I think homeschooled children tend to learn more than public school students, but that is just an opinion. However, statistics show that homeschooled students score better on standardized tests than both public and private school.

Homeschoolers receive a tailored education.  You can move at your own pace, and yes you can skip a grade if you need too.  I recently dropped my son's phonics program because he could already pass the test at the end of the book.  What's the point in holding him back?

    Good luck to you!
