Homeschooling question!?

one of my ninth grade courses last year was etymology. i was going to see if i get any high school credits for that class. if yes, how many?

  1. If you were homeschooling last year, you should be keeping a record of every class you took for your high school transcripts.  I believe each class is one credit per year.  So if you took it for a full year, you've got one credit.  If you took it for half the year you have 1/2 credit.  This goes for all the other classes you took too, English, Math ect.  If you are planning on going on to college after HS, you need a written transcript you actually need to keep one anyway, In case you go back to public school.  They will need it to, to make sure where to place you.  


  2. I believe it would qualify for credit as either science or elective.

    How many credits would depend on how long the course lasted, how challenging it was, etc.  Generally, 4 months equals a half credit and 8 months equals a full credit.
