Homeschooling sites online????

Question

ok im in the 8th grade and i wanted to start on my work now im a little behind and i need to get it finished over the summer! my parents are waiting 4 their BIG check to go and buy all the books and such. so until then i would like to work on some work so that when i get my books i will have a little head start. so any good homeschooling sites i can go to. PLEASE and THANK YOU. whoevers website i chose to use i will be glad to give you the best answer points!

Well, we love Cosmeo, and you can get a free, one-month trial, and then if you like it, it's only $9.95/mo or $99/year.  It includes Nutshell Math, which is correlated to many math textbooks.  That makes the subscription price worth it, IMO.  Then there are sooo many great videos and links in the catalog.  We don't have cable, so it allows my son to see shows like Mythbusters.  Our library only has a few Standard Deviants videos, which he loves, so he just watches them on Cosmeo.

There MANY sites to use while you wait.  Just do a 'net search for what interests you.  This is a good time to "deschool" and find out how excited self-directed learning can be!

EDITED TO ADD, after your addition.  Sorry, you didn't specify you wanted free or cheap sites.  IMO, Cosmeo is an extremely valuable, and not expensive, site to use.

You can go to your public library and check out all sorts of textbooks and other learning items:  CD's, DVD's, audio books, etc.

FVS! florida virtual school...and actually im pretty sure that if yuo are a florida resident the school is pretty much free.. im not sure youll have to look into it but a couple of my friends do it and they like it. So just look up florida virtual school and check it out...Good Luck
