Question:

Homeschooling with AP Studio Art.?

Is it possible? If so, how? And this doesn't go for just AP Studio, but for other APs as well.

And if you were homeschooled and can't take AP Studio in another school, could you still take the AP exam without having the course marked down as a regular credit?

  1. Sure.  You don't have to take an "official" AP course to take the AP test; you simply have to master similar coursework and be prepared to pass it.

If you are able to do this on your own (you're already fairly accomplished in art), you can do this; otherwise, if you have access to advanced or college art courses, you can prepare this way.

You can prep for any AP course you'd like outside of a school.  If you go to the College Board site, you can find everything from topics to master to AP syllabi that have been submitted by teachers.

    Good luck!
