Homesick? ?

Question

Would you feel homesick if you went somewhere beautiful far away from your home for a month?

Where do you live, and why or why not would you miss it?

I think I probably would, and know I will. If all goes as planned, I'll be in London next year. I've always wanted to be located there and I finally have the chance. I'd probably miss home when I'd crack an inside joke and the people I was with didn't understand what I was talking about. Or when I get lost and don't know where I am, then realize that if I were home I'd never get lost. Or when I saw something that a family member or close friend really liked, like a type of flower or a certain movie....

I could go on and on. I know I'll be homesick, but when I think about it, the experience is too fantastic to miss out on. For every relationship or thing I'll miss, a new one will be made to help me get through it :)

Alex_any,  Oh definitly my dear definitly. I live in a real little Illinois town in the midst off a sea of corn. I was born around 50 miles South  of where I grew up.Wich is just a few miles from where I now live. Most of my classmates have moved on to pursue their "life" while I chose to stay with my roots. This is home and home is where my heart is. I have a buddy who moved to Nashville to pursue our dream and he has toured the world but he still tells me how fortunate I am because there is no place like home !

I probably wouldn't feel homesick at first, but after a week or so I would really start to feel it.  Like sometimes when your just sitting in your room and suddenly you just get this really bad urge to go home.  But normally something wonderful happens after that, like I'll discovery a fabulous cafe that I don't have at home and I'll forget all about it!

I am not. I live in India at the moment, before that, I lived in UK. I think probably coz I am already used to be far away from home.
