Homespun yarn for dishcloth?

Is homespun yarn (I have lion brand yarn) a good yarn to use for dishcloths?

The only thing I have been able to find is to use worsted weight-- I am not quite sure if the homespun kind falls into this category, and if they will function well.

  1. Dish cloths are usually made from cotton.

  2. Lion Brand Homespun is a bulky yarn, which would NOT work well for dishcloths.  You would use that yarn for making scarves, hats, mittens, and larger items like afghans.

If you want to make dishcloths, you should use cotton yarn.

    Good luck!

  3. definatly want cotton for dish clothes

for the homespun: hats, scarves, slippers, shawl
