  1. If you cover the material, yes, possibly even more.

A GENERAL (non-college) HS diploma only requires

    3 years English

    2 years History

    1 year Math

    2 years Science

    1 year Arts and Crafts

    A bunch of electives

    3 years PE

    A COLLEGE diploma requires

Math to TRIG or PRE CALC or CALC

    1 year biology

    1 year Earth Science

    Math/Lab based Chemistry or Physics

    Civics or Goverment

Plus all the English and History and PE and Electives and Arts

  2. YOu must pass certain subjects with appropriate credits to get a diploma. Best you check with your local school district to find out what is required and how you would take exams to prove your proficiency in the subject.

Homestudies means that you do not go to an organized school - public or private - but that you do follow a course of required studies at home with a parent, guardian or tutor as your instructor. You must pass exams for all studies, just as you would in school.

If you are really trained at home and you do the required work. likely you will have much better scores that conventional students.

  3. It depends on what you mean by home studies. Is this a home study program through a school? Do they provide a diploma? Or do you mean an online program? Most provide diplomas.

Do you mean actual homeschooling? In most cases, parents provide the diploma.
