Homeward Strut to make the most out of his experience at Wolverhampton for bagging the 32Red Casino Claiming Stakes
The Class 6 32Red Casino Claiming Stakes will get held at Wolverhampton over seven furlongs and thirty-two yards on Monday, 16th April. Competing for the £1,704 purse is a line-up of six three-year-olds.
The most accomplished entry for the race is Homeward Strut, Needwood Blade’s three-year-old chestnut gelding out of mare, Piccante. His record already shows six races during the new season, five of them at Wolverhampton while two of them translated into
victories.
The three-year-old penetrated into the season on 6th January in the Place Only Betting At Bluesq.Com Median Auction Maiden Stakes over seven furlongs. The race was won by the 4/9 favourite, Appealing, who led the runner up, Roedean, by three and
a half lengths. Settling third behind the leading pair was Time To Dance.
Homeward Strut finished fifth behind the winner and was paired up with Robbie Fitzpatrick.
He then finished a miserable ninth on the field of nine in the Hotel & Conferencing Median Auction Maiden Stakes on 13th January at Wolverhampton over a mile and half a furlong.
Frosty Berry was the winner of the race while Somemothersdohavem parked in as the runner up.
His debut career victory came around on 3rd February in the Play Bingo Free At Bluesq.Com Handicap at Wolverhampton over seven furlongs. He had to snatch the victory away from the reeling in runner up, Songbird Blues, who was at a negligible half
lengths’ difference.
The 4/7 favourite of the race, Speedy Yaki, finished the race third in line behind the winner.
Reveling with triumph, the three-year-old bagged the next race too. On 17th February, Homeward Strut won the Play Rainbow Riches At Bluesq.Com Handicap at Wolverhampton over seven furlongs.
Riding with Raul Da Silva, Homeward Strut led the final half length of the track and made Speedy Yaki qualifying as the runner up.
Somemothersdohavem, the 6/4 favourite of the race, raced through the wire in the end.
He could not culminate the last two races into victory but he did not even let the rankings fall below the third position. Seventh outing of the season today will get him the third victory. His exceptional experience at Wolverhampton gives him the strongest
edge over the rest competing.
