I have a developmental psychology class and need to ask some questions of people who are in 'midlife.' Everyone I know is busy at the current moment. Please answer these three questions...

1. What kinds of bad habits have you had in your young adulthood and how are they affecting your life now?

2. What are your thoughts on how older adults and younger adults perform in the food service industry (efficiency? appearance? customer service?)? If you are in these fields (server/barista/bartender), how have you noticed your skills have changed as you age?

3. How do you handle the 'social clock?' Do you feel rushed to have a career or family by a certain age?

Thanks, this is due by midnight, I would really really appreciate any help!

  1. I don't work in the service industry, but it seems that a lot of young people who weight on me need to have better customer service skills.Several of them struggle to listen, maintain a pleasant attitude and follow through with tasks. I don't have any bad habits that are affecting me now. I don't feel there is a "social clock". I enjoy being single and will go out with friends or alone to movies, restaurants, concerts, etc. I don't have children and don't feel that I want to have any. I think many married people don't understand how I couldn't want to have kids, but most of my married friends envy my independence. They say they wish they had waited to get married or have kids or both.  I'm 38.
