Inequality is not inevitable, it argues that it is not human nature and individual differences but rather structural conditions that determine where an individual winds up on the ladder of economic inequality. I'm trying to understand this theory can someone explain, it is not clear to me...well at least the last part.

  1. This means that it is NOT hopeless to dream for a world with no racisim, bias, or stereotypes.

  2. This is written from the perspective that is fairly simple but hard to understand.  What this means that it is not natural for a person to be better than another in economic matters.  The argument is that a systematic factors such as racism, sexism, or other factor that creates the inequality.

  3. to me it says that if you don't have a good job making decent money, you may find you do not have equal opportunities as those with more money.

it's never been about skin color.

  4. The book was written by an optimist. Though, it's not educationally factual. Human beings by nature discriminate. It is in fact, natural.

I doesn't make it right, when posed with an advanced civilization and global culture that is technical and educated. Though it is our natural orientation. That is because we are animals. Not bad people, but animals.

Through progression and understanding and ultimately acceptance, I would also contend that inequality is not inevitable (meaning that no matter what, something will happen). Because thought we are animals, we have cognitive rational and comprehension.

The next part is essentially saying that it's not human nature for us to be racially selective or fearful. By saying "structural conditions" they mean, your upbringing, education, environment, societal conditions (i.e. compare the US in the 1940's to now and imagine growing up as a child in both timeframes to see the difference), political exposure and status, and of course, financial situation of the household that you are raised.

It's essentially saying discrimination, division of man kind, racism, development of a bias or prejudice.....IS TAUGHT.

Don't tell you teacher. But that is only half true. It is natural and it is taught. Though, neither is "right". That's the truth. I hope I answered your question. Good luck.
