ok i have to write a 1 and a half page reasearch report about james J. Grant and i don't know how to start it. does anyone know any of his quotes?

Grant" and could not find anything significant.  Are you sure you got the name right?  However, if the name of the person you are researching is James Grant, you need to indicate which James Grant you are referring to.  There have been many historical James Grant's as you can see below from the list of names I got from Wikipedia.
