i have a homework about culture and i kind of need help! it asks "what makes up your culture?" and it says to collect things that symbolize your culture. what would you answer? what kinds of things would you collect from your home? 4 things i need. just ideas.

  1. I deal with this all the time - exchange students!

    To put it simply, culture is what you learn from your family, friends, school and parents. That's what makes an American different from a Chinese for example. You learn your religion, your values, your likes and your dislikes.

    So think about what you've learned and who you are -- that will help you pick your items.


  2. It depends on what you consider your culture.  Do you identify with your race?  Your social status?  Your family?  Your country?  Your region?  Your s*x?  Your religion?

    For example, a family-oriented Catholic girl from Texas might symbolize her culture with a picture of her family, her grandmother's rosary, a Texas or United States flag, and maybe something from her racial or ethnic background, whatever it may be.
