i need help managing my time to do homework. i get home from school at about 3:15 (its a long ride) so im tired when i get home, then i have to get ready for football practice at about 4:20 and leave at 4:30. practice starts at 5:00 and ends at 7:30 but we usually go a little late and i get home roughly around 8:00 give or take 15 minutes. as you can see when i get home i still have to eat dinner and shower so im back to my homework at about 8:30 and i like to get a good nights sleep after a long day so i try to get to bed around 9:40-10:00. any tips on how i can get my homework done faster and more efficiently? by the way i hate math and it USUALLY takes the longest.

  1. Wow, good for you. I'm impressed that you're planning your time, and that you're trying to fit in academics, a team sport, a good night's sleep and good hygiene! Really, that is very mature.

Have you thought about trying to get more of your work done during the school day, such as in a study hall or at lunch period? Do any of your teachers give you a few minutes at the end of each class period to get started on your work. That can help a lot. How about doing some on the long ride home from school? Also, is football practice at the school? If so, why not stay at school between the last class period and football practice, to get some work done then?

  2. You could try using the commuting time to listen to homework. There's a cool website called YAKiToMe! http://www.yakitome.com that turns any electronic text into a podcast you can download to your iPod (or equivalent). If you can get your homework as a PDF file or an MS Word document, or even a txt file, then YAK will read it to you. It has lots of great voices and you can control the reading speed and pronunciation. It's really useful.

  3. Basically what I would do is try doing some of your homework during school. Especially if the homework are worksheets.

Thats what I do when I dont feel like doing any homework

    at home lol =]

  4. calculator for math, and if that how long it is until you get home, then thats how long its gonna take sorry

  5. do it when ur rnt practicing! or ask your coach if u could go home earlier ( if its a school team, he has to have u put ur schoolwork b4 football)

plus if you dont have soo much, go to bed early, wake up early and do it b4 u go to school
