in the first one, 8/(1/3) is the same as 8*(3/1) = 24, this is called multiplying by the reciprocal and will help you solve it.

second one, you need to find a common denominator. 3/4 = 15/20  and 4/5 = 16/20 , now that they have the same number on the bottom you can just add the tops.

third, 8 *(1/4) = (8*1)/4 = 2

8/1 is 8 /3 is 2.67

2/1 is 2/6 is .33

add them together to get 3

unless you ment it as 8/(1/3)+2/(1/6) where brackets should have been used

then its repusented like this

8 x the reciplicable of 1/3 which is 3/1

8 is really 8 over 1 (8/1) so u multiply across 8 X3 and 1X! and get 24 over 1 (24/1) which is 24. then 2/1 X 6/1, 2x6 is 12 and 1x1 is 1 so its 12/1 or just 12 add them together to get 36

*note* if you use a recipical then the division becomes multiplication thats why i mutiplyed.

or if wanted as a fraction find a common denominator ( i use 20 because its the first one easy to find by multiplaying the bottom two numbers then you have to mulltiply the left side by 5( so the bottom number will be 20) and the right side by 4 ( so thats 20)

so its

15/20 and 16/20 add them to get 31/20 or 1 and 11/20

you can reduce that to  by deviding by two so you have 1 and 5.5/10 which = 1.55
