Lactose acid has the formula C12 H22 O11. Express this as an empirical formula (ie the simplest whoe number ratio of atoms in the molecule)??

empirical formula is something like

if you have H2O2 .. you can cancel the 2's and get HO

but for this formula there is no common number tht can divide all the subscripts.. for example if it was H22O11 you cud have written H2O1 or H2O

but for this one the empirical formula is the same.
