What new rule can be developed for Monopoly to make it possible for the poorest players to remain in the game, and not get bankrupted so fast???

How might this rule be implemented in the real economy??

  1. Poor players can borrow a loan from the bank or other players in return for cheaper property expenses.

  2. That is easy, get a loan from the bank, if you recover, pay it back with a 5% interes, if you loose just file for bankcrupsy

  3. ask bob.

  4. OK lets see maybe... ummm... well you can see what they have to do first like if they owe money and they don't have enough to pay it off, each of the players have to help them and then if there are more than 2 players, then they have to give them each 20 dollars to remain in the game, sand if there is only one player, then tat player can give 1/4 of their money to them and they will last at least a little bit more in the game until they pass go and they collect 200 dollars or get money some other way. That's how I would do it!!

  5. Interestingly, Monopoly does a fine job of offering a simplified reflection of captialistic principles.  There, of course, is chance in the game via the dice, but success usually goes to those who are superior negotiators, shrewd money managers, and invest limited capital to maximize return.

People who have these skills in real life prosper.  People who don't, end up with little material comforts or "homeless".

While I find the question repugnent, as a free market is fairest arbitor of reflecting an individual's hard work and passion, here's your answer:

Government.  Government has the power to create rules (laws), and enforce those rules.  Government already has created a cultural system to keep the poorest players "in the game".  It's called social welfare.  The structural change already in place to support this system is called Income Tax.

Your monopoly rule (to mimic real life in America) is simple.  Every time a landlord collects rent from a player landing on their property, have the banker (government) take 40% of the rent, give half to the poorest player, and one-fourth to the next two poorest players.  If the landlord protests, have all the other players vote him out of the game, confiscate his wealth, and distribute it to the remaining players as you see fit.

No need to make up a new rule.  We already live it every day in the US.

  6. IS it something like i dont know ha ha
