  1. fraction * 100 % = percentage

    1 2/5 * 100% = 140%

  2. 1.4 percent for the first one

1.86 percent for the second one

  3. Well, if I'm reading these right, they would be one and two-fifths and one and forty three-fiftieths.

Of course that means the whole integer is 1 with something left over that should be in decimals, so it will look like this: 1.some numbers

The easiest thing to do is to change the number on the bottom fraction into a ten, a hundred, or a thousand, etc.

Take 2/5.  To make the 5 into a 10, you have to multiply it by 2, but you also have to multiply the top number by two for the fraction to have the same value.

    2 (2/5) = 4/10

And four tenths is .4, right?  So 1 2/5 is 1.4

Let's make the 50 into 100, so multiply by 2 again.

    2 (43/50) = 86/100

    And 86 out of 100 is .86 so 1 43/50 is 1.86

Sorry, on principle I can never give just the answers, I gotta explain it in the hopes you understand.

  4. 1.  First change the mixed number  to an improper fraction.

        1 2/5 = 7/5

    2.  Next divide the denominator into the numerator.

        7 divided by 5 =1.4

    3.  Move the decimal two places to the right.

         1.4 = 140 percent.

Hope this helps.  I think you can do the next one.

  5. 1 2/5  where 2/5 = 40/100 it means 40%, so 1 2/5 means 140%.

    the same with 1 43/50. 43/50= 86/100, so 1 43/50 is 186%.

Just to add to this 1 =100/100 or 100%.

    Good luck!

  6. 45%

    86%

  7. for the first one

    5x1+2 = top number

    over 5

    50x1+43 = top number

    over 50

you just go in a circle to find out the fraction and then you divide the top into the bottom and then you multiply by 100

  8. divide the numerator (the top one) by the denominator (the bottom one). you will get a decimal. move the decimal two places to the right. you should get a two-digit number. that is your percentage.

    hope this helps.

  9. If it's so reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy easy, then you should do it yourself.

In fact, it's your homework. You should do it yourself.

take the 2, and divide by 5

take the 43 and divide by 50.

You're right...reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy simple.  just do it yourself.  It would have taken you less time than it took me to type this.
