so i have biology homework and im kind of confused. i know i should be doing this myself but im a very stressful person (if you have tips to not be stressed that would be nice too). so the assignment paper goes like this....

all organisms (animals and plants) use energy for life functions. where does all this energy originally come from? it comes from the SUN.

autotrophs- organisms that make their own food (plants- photosynthesis)

heterotrophs- organisms that must eat food for energy (animals)

Design an experiment to show that oxygen and carbon dioxide cycle through a process of photosynthesis and cellular respiration.

Materials:

air tight terriums

mice (with food pellets)

small plants (any generic plant)

water and soil

on a seperate paper, design an experiment using as much of the above material as needed

draw (simply) and explain in words how you would set up each of the experimental groups.

predict results you would expect if you preformed this. why?

  1. I would say:

Make one experiment that has everything but the plants in it.

Make one experiment that has everything but the rats in it.

Make one that has all in it.

The one with plants will die because they don't have the CO2 from the mice.

The one with mice will die because they don't have O from the plants.

    The third one will thrive.
