how do you solve these??

1. 4(x+1)> or equal to 2(x+18)-6x

2. 14x-8 < or equl to 22+20x

3. 6(2x-3)> or equal to 13x+18

  1. Well. First off, I&#039;m not going to do your homework for you, or at least all of it. There are a number of steps you need to take to solve the equations.

    I&#039;ve worked through the first one - given you some notes on what I&#039;ve done and you should be easily able to work out the others. Easy Peasy.

    Q1)

    4(x+1) &gt;= 2(x+18)-6x

    (Expand out the brackets)

    4x + 4 &gt;= 2x + 36 - 6x

    (Condense the terms)

    4x + 4 &gt;= 36 - 4x

    (Get x on one side)

    8x + 4 &gt;= 36

    (Isolate x)

    8x &gt;= 32

    x &gt;= 32/8

    x &gt;= 4

  3. subtract the variable from both sides, then subtract the number from the opposite side like 4x&gt;5. then divide the number by the number next to the variable. If the variable has a negative number next to it that you divide by then switch the sign in the middle.
