Honda CB175 keeps stalling out on me...?

I just got this 1970 cb175 and i started it up a few times and it idled fine. i haven't taken it for a ride yet. now it starts up but after a few seconds stalls out. am i giving it gas too early? suggestions?

Along with a good carb cleaning...the petcock on the gas tank may be junked up too. this is caused from leaving gas in for a long time and moisture causeing rust. Easy fix...take off and clean.

its 38 years old and stalls a few times??? In people years that is at least 200. It is entitled to stall now and then, im surprised it still runs. N OW ... the carbs may be jelled up with ancient fuel crud, take them off andf have a mechanic clean them out. Good luck. Mr Honda darned sure knew what he was doing.
